Meredith Brinkmann
Meredith co-leads a team of more than thirty professionals providing advisory and accounting services to businesses and not for profits. She brings a unique blend of accounting and business advisory expertise including boutique hotels and restaurants in the Hudson Valley; international SAAS tech industry; global book publishing industry and a start-up boutique beauty brand. Meredith has over 30 years of accounting and finance experience within the Client Advisory and Accounting Services (CAAS) industry, having started her career in public accounting with D’Arcangelo & Co (Prager Metis) in Poughkeepsie, NY, running her own book of business through her own bookkeeping services firm and coming back to public accounting with Dorfman-Robbie (Bonadio) in Albany, NY before joining the team at BST Client Advisory and Accounting Services (CAAS) team.
She brought two European educational technology startups into the U.S. resulting in a successful acquisition for one, and the other one went public on the NASDAQ. Meredith is a subject matter expert related to OPWDD’s Fiscal Intermediary (self-direction) programming, having helped several agencies move from manual processes to automated, cloud-based systems and helped formulate and execute the successful acquisition of a failing agency by a larger $60 million OPWDD service provider.
She has worked as an interim Controller for $15-30 million not-for-profit agencies with complex revenue streams, multiple electronic health records (EHR) and billing systems. She also has deep publishing industry experience, having worked for 15+ years with book publishers helping them move from a traditional print-distribution model to a digital rights model with international distribution through licensing deals.
Having owned several businesses herself, Meredith understands the total accounting and business operations of new and existing companies. She and her team collaborate with clients providing both operational and financial assessments of systems, processes, structure, and reporting to improve efficiencies, automations, controls, and minimize risk. She enjoys supporting clients with workforce decisions and with hiring the right candidate for their finance team. Her skills in coaching, technical training, and feedback also help clients to develop their own team members.

Meredith studied Business at SUNY Empire University. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a member of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce.
